Advancing Youth Development Training
(4-weeks + 1-hour reflection session)
AYD just got more accessible!
Advancing Youth Development (AYD) is a nationally acclaimed 9-hour course designed for front-line youth workers and others who interact with adolescents on a daily basis. The course was based on curricula from the Center for Youth Development and Policy Research out of Washington D.C. Four sessions cover, the youth development framework, fostering youth participation and leadership, culturally competent programming, and professional competencies of youth workers. The topic of each session is listed below.

Training Announcement 2023 (New)
An In-person Advancing Youth Development Training will be offered once a year in the fall. This training is available to organizations across the City of Chicago. Continue to visit our website for fall dates and registration information.
Onsite Staff Training: If you are interested in bringing Advancing Youth Development to your site, contact Annette Kelly. The interested organization must have a minimum of 10 people.
Online Accelerated Advancing Youth Development Training. This offer is exclusive to organizations located in other states. Call for additional information.
Time: 9:30am - 11:30am
The training cost is non-refundable but is transferrable. Payment must be received by the start of training.
